More GapMinder

I posted about the GapMinder site last night, but I've had a chance to play around a little more on their site. They have some great little applets to explore the changes world development over the last 30 years.

Here's a particularly slick one showing income distributions. Check it out — they do a great job of giving you control of graph and letting you see change over time.

Rich,

I think this is great! You can learn so much more from a graphical representation of income distribution than from the thousands of pages of drivel from "economists" and "analysts". Let's bring more hard numbers into the discussion. The more we bring math into histroy, economics, sociology, etc., the more likely we are to have grounded discussions about policy. Until everyone starts from the same facts, it's hard to have open-minded debate.

Keep posting stuff like this!
